we've been staying on pha-ngan for a week now, and tonight is the fullmoon party(http://fullmoonparty-thailand.com/).
we came here last monday, and we had already booked a place to stay from ko samui. this place happened to be in the middle of nowhere, so after two dasys we moved to had rin and hillside bungalows. had rin is situated on the southmost peak of pha-ngan, and therefore it has two beaches, east and west. the western beach isnt very nice to swim in, but it stretches wide and iss very beautiful. the eastern beach is where everyone goes to take a swim, and its here that the fullmoon party is thrown. in contradiction to all the other places we've been at, everyone here is below 30 years old, although i think we are amongst the youngest. our room at hillside is the nicest we've had so far, and its so huge that we had our own long-jump contest inside it. we even have a leather couch. nice.

Ko Samui
after a long night on a bus and boat where we were treated like cattle, we arrived at ko samui. the bungalow-salesmen started selling rooms even before the ferry had departed. we were tired as hell, so we took the first one that came up to us. a reallt nice place, but a bit too far away from the action (was on Hat mae nam).we lived there for two nights, and then we decided to move on to hat chaweng and lucky mother bungalows. we live in a four man bungalow with AC, fridge and TV for 1500 baht/night (about 30 euro). the plan is to stay here for a while, then moving on to ko phangan to attend the full moon party (http://fullmoonparty-thailand.com/), then do a visa-run to burma and after that we are going to meet up with camillas friend and her pack of backpackers

more ko Chang, and a little Hua Hin
we stayed on ko chang for two weeks, mostly sunbathing, but we also went on a day trip to ko Wai and Ko Kham, where we sorkled all day. we got some really nice pics here, since daniels camera is waterproof (pics should be up on camillas or lindas photo album). another day trip we made was to klong phlu waterfall, wich is a 20m high waterfall a couple kilometres inland. there was also a pond where you could swim and jump from the mountinside. this was very welcome since the water was without salt and really cold (compared to the air temp, i guess it was about 23-24 degrees).
we left ko chang this saturday, to send truls and daniel home again, and to continue to Hua Hin (wich means stoneface). its a little wierd, being only four again. the trip to hua hin took 12 hours, and we didnt arrive til 22:00. luckily, we found a place called ammys, where we are currently staying. its primitive, but i managed to hack some suckers WLAN, so we have internet on the room.
the beachsalesmen have partly been replaced with beach-horsemen (want riding?). if they had kept the horses in a paddock it would have been fine, but when the horses run around (RUN around) freely it gets kinda scary. i understand if parents dont want to let their children loose on this beach.
yesterday we were at the night market. i could easily have spent al my remaining money there, too bad it wont all fit in my bag :).
right now we dont really know what to do, but we will either go to the west coast first then the east coast, and not meet up with camillas friends, or go to the east, then west and join up with camillas friend and her gang, and then back east again. either way, we dont want to miss ful moon party on koh pa-ngan. anyways, we haveto decide soon, since we are leaving soon.
until next time.

now we have arrived at ko chang, and that is why I can to write here again. for some reason blogger did not work on ko samet.
its now 11:05 o'clock and I'm at a barbershop/IT café. fun mixture. the others are still at the rooms, since the beach does not tempt as much in this weather. (cloudy, but nevertheless 40 degrees hot.)
ko Samet
we stayed at the northern shore on ko samet, well away from all the noise and partying on the eastern beach. after about a day jesper got some super-stomachake and had to eat antibiotics.
this caused us to stay at the northern side until the next last day on the island, when jesper was well enough to make the walk over to white sand beach (eastern beach).
the sand on this island is said to be the finest in all thailand, and it was like potato flour (dunno if you have that outside sweden). we stayed all day on the beach and ate at a resturant at the beach. At 20:30 a fire show started by the waterside.five guys with burning sticks that they were spinning and throwing like crazy. very cool.
we also ate at a restaurant situated out in the sea, standing on rigid wooden beams. the tables were made out of glass, and were very low, with a hole in the floor underneath the table, through wich you were supposed to dangle your feet whilst sitting on matresses on the floor.
the fish seem to have learned that the occational piece of food was dropped underneath the table, since they gathered right below the table.
ko Chang
we came to ko chang, the elephant island yesterday. it seems like this is the place that all the swedish tourists go to, atleast 50% of all the western people here are swedes. there are even two restaurants serving swedish food here. we live at islannd lodge, situated a bit away from the beach, since all beachside places were full, but apart from the short walk to the beach, this place is really good, and the view is magnifficent. (pictures are up on the photo albums, if you wanna scroll through em all).
the reason that im here at an IT-café all alone is that i thought that there was something wrong with my bank, but it seems that it was just me not remembering how much money i tranfered.
adresses
as a last note id like to ask for my granparents adresses so that i can send them postcards.
infact, if you read this, post your adress on my topmost blogpost on www.cyroxblog.blogspot.com and ill see if i can send you a postcard ;).
(as a sidenote: i stopped using this stupid translation website i found. more work to correct all the wrongs in it than to just write it myself.)

hat jomtien
now, we live at JB guest house, right at the beach. a room costs 500 baht, and is fairly small. Camilla seems to feel good again.
yesterday, I had my first meeting with the local fauna. I checked myself in the mirror and saw that a caterpillar (2x10 cms) crawled on my shirt. unpleasant.
jesper was hit on by cashier on 7-eleven. the dialogue went like this:
- where you from?
- we ' re from sweden.
- ohhh, very handsome men.
-thank you.
-how old you?
-im 20.
-oh, so young! you no go, you stay long!
FUN
should exist more pictures up on the different links.

a bump in the road
Camila has a stomachache(spaeling?). too bad. we were supposed to have gone to another beach today, to look at places to stay until daniel and truls comes here (thats levath and luthien in wow), but it seems like we will have to postpone it. the alternative is that me and linda go there and jesper stays with cam.
we lost like 100 pics. the first IT-café gave us viruses on all USB devices plugged in. good thing i had updated virus definitions on my laptop :). all the bankok pics dissapeared, so we have decided to back all pics up on my laptop before conecting anything to any other computer.
i probably wont go to the beach today, im afraid that if i take my shirt off my skin will come off with it. ouch. i hope that camilla gets better soon so that we can continue as planned.
